Toronto, Ontario — With the company experiencing rapid growth recently, Workwolf has been chosen as a company to be featured in EliteX’s Elite Brands to Watch, 2022 edition. Appearing alongside world-renowned giants in their respective industries, such as Automobili Lamborghini, NIO, and Cassagi, Workwolf’s feature comes at an opportune time.

While Workwolf has had notable customers such as Dentsply Sirona and Javelin for some time now, the team has been further implementing trials with customers like Xerox and Desjardins Insurance to ensure the technology is unbeatable. The tech, however, is now replacing existing systems in four of Xerox Canada’s largest branches in less than two months. Perhaps more significantly, Workwolf’s tech has proven to be so effective, it has entirely replaced Xerox’s former applicant tracking system (ATS), JazzHR. The technology’s increasing traction has proven to be more effective and equitable in filtering and benchmarking candidates than any other singular solution.

Co-founded by Erik Simins, Stephen Brennan, Daniel Shea, and Ron Leith, Workwolf initially solely aimed to solve for the $660 billion lost each year in the HR industry to mis-hires and inauthentic resume credentials. Since its launch, however, it has expanded to offer solutions throughout the HR industry to individual job seekers and businesses alike. It does so by offering both verification processes that take the form of Digital Work Passports and equitable hiring, and recruiting practices through soft skill assessments and benchmarking tools available on the Workwolf platform.

According to a 2020 survey referenced by CNBC, 78% of job seekers lie about the credentials and skills they have somewhere within the hiring process. Nevertheless, Workwolf recognizes that many who lie on their resumes do so out of desperation or frustration. Instead of aiming to expose fraudulence, Workwolf aims to empower candidates by allowing them to showcase their hard and soft skills and how their combination of the two make them particularly suitable for certain job functions and industries.

Simins, also the CEO of the company, says “To be able to accurately predict applicant performance and automate the filtering of potential hires, Workwolf uses data from the applicants in the form of a proprietary psychometric assessment that we call Packfinder. And the adoption of Packfinder is incredible. 87% of applicants complete the assessment because Workwolf provides the results not just to the employer, but to the applicant as well, and it becomes their first credential within Workwolf’s Digital Work Passport that can then be used as a tamper-proof digital resume.”

Paired with Workwolf’s Digital Work Passport, then, a candidate’s Packfinder results make their online verifiable credentials a powerful tool for job application. The Digital Work Passport, for one, allows candidates to share with employers and recruiters their hard skills or credentials in real-time, from specific training certifications to academic or former employment background checks. Packfinder, for another, has become an unstoppable tool that both highlights a candidate’s potential in 60 specific job functions across a variety of industries and equitably filters candidates based on benchmarked soft skills rather than on age, race, gender, or other identity markers.

The platform achieves what it does for both employers/recruiters and candidates alike by leveraging powerful technology like artificial intelligence and blockchain. Over the past two years, the HR industry has been taking note of and recognizing Workwolf for its groundbreaking use of blockchain technology in the HR industry. The company has won awards from across the globe, including the first-place prize for automating recruitment from the Manpower Group at VivaTech 2021 and the Transformational Platform and Entrepreneurship prize at the 2020 Enterprise Blockchain Awards.

Of the product, Dentsply Sirona Human Resources Leader Eva Hajtko says “Workwolf is a game changer. It delivers efficiency, better filtration, faster verification, and a better experience for our candidates.”

What makes Workwolf better than other solutions, even numerous ones used simultaneously, Simins notes is their unique use of technology in the HR industry. He says, “employers don’t know that this technology is available to help them. Once this is recognized in the market, we’ll need to hold on tight!”

The team is honoured to be featured in the 2022 edition of Elite Brands to Watch, which can be accessed at theelitex.com. To learn more or to join Workwolf, visit workwolf.com.
